Thicket Portage, Manitoba is a community in northern Manitoba located on the Bayline. Thicket Portage community was originally known as Franklin Portage after the Franklin expedition; one of the portages route that is connected with Nelson River system. This community is close to Wabowden, and Thompson. Forestry and tourism development counts as part of their economic activities.
