The NACC is working to resolve these resolutions, which were submitted by communities in our Northern region.
Resolution #

Whereas: the Northern Region has identified the increase of drugs and alcohol coming into the communities. And whereas: communities have an increase in crime rates.
Be it resolved: that the Northern Region advocate for the Community Safety Officer Program be re-initiated for the MNR communities.
And be it resolved: that NACC advocate to Justice and MNR to bring this program back to our communities due to the increase of the drugs, alcohol and crime escalating in the MNR communities.

Whereas: the Northern Region Communities has dealt with Wildfires within their communities.
Be it resolved: that the Northern Region requests NACC advocates to Natural Resources and the Government of Manitoba for the MNR Communities. To have fires actioned immediately when the fire is spotted.

Whereas: the increasing threat of Global warming is causing unprecedented episodes of wildfires and disasters.
And whereas: Our communities are faced with increased responsibilities of the safety and protection of our community and citizens.
Be it resolved: that the Northern Region requests NACC advocates for our community councils for funding to establish to have full time Fire Department Personnel (6) hired for the spring, summer, fall term (6) months for the purpose of increased community
