Attend this 1-day event hosted on April 18, 2020 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the school and greenhouse in Peonan Point. Google map directions to Peonan Point.
We already have quite a bit of interest and registrations from communities our organization serves in northern Manitoba!
There is no cost to attend this event for people who reside in the “the Northern Healthy Foods Initiative” area. You can refer to a map of eligible communities here.
Everyone attending will get to make-and-take a pepper/tomato starter tray, a vermi-composting bin complete with worms, and get a chance to meet and learn from other gardeners!
In addition to the ‘make-and-take’ workshops there will be mini-workshops including knowledge sharing by: Duck Bay Community Food Champion Kim Dobson on winter seed sowing methods and Colton McCleod Youth Community Food Champion for Camperville will share natural soil building techniques. If you have a topic you would like to include, please let me know!
